The new generation X-Fullerene has 4 radial ribs which unite carbon atoms to form a football-like structure. The X-Fullerene is used in the resin which bonds the carbon fibres and creates the cross-link construction. The tenfold increase in binding force makes it possible to create 5% higher repulsion power and 15% greater stability.

Sonic Metal is an exceptionally strong, lightweight and flexible new titanium alloy which yonex positions at the top of the frame. This has two advantages. Firstly, it gives you a higher repulsion power, especially in attack. Secondly, it creates a clear strong sound when the shuttlecock is hit. This acoustic, combined with the dramatic increase in repulsion, will put your opponent under immediate pressure.
Nanometric improves the bonding strength between the carbon fibres enabling yonex take racquet shaft construction to another level. By reducing the amount of carbon in the shaft to make it 60% thinner than a conventional racquet whilst retaining stiffness, yonex has created a revolutionary lightweight racquet with lightening head speed and control.
NANOMETRIC, in the construction of the frame, repositions weight from the head of the racquet to the grip. Nanoray with its head light construction gives you powerful, high speed, clear shots to unsettle your opponent.
The Thinnest shaft with More Power: Inserting NANOPREME into the racquet shaft ensures greater stability compared to conventional racquets. When bending and releasing two racquets under the same force, the Ultra Slim Long Shaft rebounds almost twice as far as a conventional racquet does in the same length of time (0.018 seconds). This equates to 10% greater stability compared with conventional racquets.
The shaft is constructed using ‘Ultra PEF’ – ultra poly ethylene fibre – which is light enough to float on water yet able to withstand immense forces. These characteristics allow for maximum shock absorption.
Extra slim shaft - Cutting edge Nanometric carbon technology is used to produce an ultra-thin, ultra-tough, aerodynamic shaft, created for a stronger and more intense shot.
Aerodynamic contouring of the top of the frame minimizes air resistance so air flows faster across the curved surface during the swing, accelerating head speed and transferring more speed and power into hits. This construction tapers into the YONEX Box Shape midway through the frame for high stability, low-torque performance and more accuracy.

Yonex’s new material resin - TOUGHLEX - on both sides of the frame offers improved flexibility, durability and dwell time. It also provides a softer feel because of its lightweight repulsion and lighter weight. Shots will clear deeper towards the back of the opponent’s court allowing much more aggressive counter-attacking play.
Combining gum particles with carbon fibre generates a light feel and flexibility at impact.
‘Nanomesh + Carbon Nanotube’ is an exclusive structural material inserted into the frame and/or shaft of the nanoray series. It significantly increases repulsion power, toughness and impact strength within the racquet. By combining carbon nanotube with a resin, the two molecules create a mesh-like construction which delivers a head-light racquet, sharper drive shots, improved strength and faster handling.
The smaller frame size further reduces unwanted air resistance and improves feel.
The square-shaped Isometric frame shape is designed to keep vertical strings at a similar length, as well as the horizontal strings to produce an expanded sweet spot in all directions.
The single-pass grommet hole construction provides more grommet holes for a more high-performance stringing pattern.
Yonex has designed a new grommet pattern called the HORIZONTAL-A CONCEPT that has helped create the smallest frame in history. The pattern anchors 4 strings horizontally to allow greater flex in the string bed and to create an enlarged sweet spot at the top of the frame. So even off-centre shots can be powerful.
The unique grommet pattern allows strings to run vertically through to the string bed, adding more flex and creating a wider, enlarged sweet spot.
The built-in solid feel core cuts harmful miscellaneous vibration at impact. Solid feel core is carried in all racquets manufactured in Japan.]
