Preparation and Maintenance of a Squash Shoes

Find the following instruction for proper maintenance of a squash shoes given below:

  • Fill a sink with warm water. Add a few drops of liquid dish soap or a gentle cleanser such as liquid castile soap, or use a liquid cleanser formulated especially for Squash Shoes.
  • Remove the shoelaces, then remove the insoles. Set them aside for cleaning.
  • Dip a soft-bristled brush into the sudsy water, then clean shoes gently, cleaning both the outside and the inside. Use a white, nylon dish scrubber to gently remove stains or scuff marks. An old toothbrush is handy for scrubbing around the tongue and in other hard-to-reach spots.
  • Rinse the shoes thoroughly with warm water. Shake the shoes to remove excess water, then stuff the shoes with dry rags or paper towels. Don't stuff the shoes with newspaper. Set the shoes aside to drip dry. Replace the stuffing occasionally to speed up the drying process. Drying your shoes completely may take a full day, or even longer.
